
Freedom of the Parish
The Parish Council has recently decided to award the Freedom of the Parish to those who individuals who provide exceptional service to the Parish. You can read more about the policy adopted on awarding this honour below.
The Parish Council recently awarded Freedom of the Parish to Bob Arthy in recognition of all his work with FOPS (Friends of Prostrate Sufferers) over the past ten years. Bob was nominated by Roger Frood and his nomination was enthusiastically supported by a several people in the village. The Award was presented by the Chair of the Council, Councillor Debbie Rosario, at a meeting of FOPS held at the Bedford Arms.

Community Champion Award
Every year the Parish Council invites nominations for the Community Champion Award. This year Lisa Stewart received the award for her hard work in delivering the project to refurbish the flower beds in the centre of the village and her efforts to ensure a permanent post office counter in the village was retained. The award was presented by the Chair of the Council at Village Day.
