Village Halls Trust Committee Meetings & Members
Chorleywood Village Halls Trust is largely financed by a grant from Chorleywood Parish Council. It comprises nine Members. It is registered as a Charity and as such follows the operating guidelines of the Charity Commission.
The Committee meets roughly every six weeks to discuss matters pertaining to the running and maintenance of the War Memorial Hall, the Common Room and the Bullsland Hall.
The War Memorial Hall was extended to 2016 to provide The Common Room, a self contained room for up to 35 to 40 people. Additionally the War Memorial Hall and Bullsland Hall were repainted and refurbished with new furniture and fittings. A new projector screen was installed at the War Memorial Hall and Wi-Fi is now available at all our halls.
Our caretakers open and close the halls after each booking and carry out general maintenance jobs.
The aim of the Trust is to offer the community a choice of well maintained venues to suit every occasion and judging by the bookings over the years, from wedding receptions in the War Memorial Hall, to meetings and children’s parties in the Common Room and Bullsland Hall and a Lunch Club for the elderly in Bullsland Hall, the Trust feels it is achieving its objectives.
