There are three halls to hire in Chorleywood which are looked after by The Chorleywood Village Hall Trust and are perfect venues for;
Weddings, Christenings, Birthday Parties, live music events, classes, theatrical productions and lots more.

    • Chorleywood Memorial Hall – Venue Capacity of up to 200, With Stage, Music System, Large Catering Kitchen and changing Rooms.
    • Chorleywood Common Room – Venue Capacity of up to 40 people with use of small Kitchen. Adjoining War Memorial Hall ( can be hired in conjuction with the War Memorial hall for Large events)
    • Bullsland Hall – Venue Capacity of up to 40 people. Small self contained Hall with Large Catering Kitchen.

The War memorial hall is the Largest of our three halls and is perfect for most events. Recently refurbished to a high standard it has some great facilities including a theatre style stage, sprung dance floor and fully equipt catering kitchen.

Chorleywood Common Room

The Common room is a great venue for meetings and small classes or parties. It has its own entrance and small Kitchen. It can also be booked in conjuction with the War Memorial Hall at a discounted price.

Bullsland Hall

Bullsland Hall is a well presented, small self contained hall with a large kitchen. It lends itself to be hired for small parties, meeting and classes. With 6-8 Parking Spaces in front of the hall.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):

– Can I look at a hall before booking?
Yes, please contact the Parish Council Office to arrange a mutually convenient time to view the Hall

– Do I need an alcohol licence to sell/serve drinks?
Yes, we can arrange this for you at a cost of £25.00

– Can I use my own caterers?
Yes

– Is help available for setting up and dismantling the event?
Help with the setting up of tables and chairs can be provided at a charge of the appropriate hourly rate and must be pre-booked. Additional hire time for the setting up /taking down must be included in the booking whether this is to be provided by the council or performed by the hirer.

– What time can I book the Hall?
Our standard times are 9am – Midnight. However, please note that if the event includes the playing of music, this must be turned off at midnight in the War Memorial Hall and Common Room and by 8pm for the Bullsland Hall. We can allow booking prior to 9am by Special Arrangement and hirers may remain in the War Memorial Hall/Common Room until 01.00am but this will be at double time hire charge.

– What activities take place in the Halls?
The list is endless – eg wedding receptions, parties, lectures, various forms of dance and drama lessons keep fit, bowls club, jumble sales,music classess, RVS Luncheon club, and tuition classes. Please call the office to discuss your particular requirements

– Is there a garden available?
The Bullsland hall has a small open space around the hall, and is a one minute walk from a park and playground.
The War Memorial hall and Common Room are immediately opposite the 200 Acres of Chorleywood Common. For young guests who may need some exercise.

Can I smoke in the Buildings
No.

– When can I hire the Halls
Every day expect Christmas & Boxing Day subjest to avalibility. Additonal charges are made for bank holidays & New Years Eve.

– How much does it cost to hire the halls?
Costs are dependent on the type of event and the time of day/ day of the week. Please click on the link below to find out the rate for your event.

The Wi Fi codes for each hall are displayed on the noticeboards.

– Layout
Various combinations are possible eg conference, classroom, Theatre etc – please discuss your requirements with our office

– Parking?
– Parking is available in the permissive parking area opposite the War Memorial Hall and Common Room. Please note that a parking ticket is required to be displayed in your vehicle between 11am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. These are available free of charge from the ticket machine in the parking area between 11am and 3pm.

At the Bullsland Hall there are 2 disabled spaces in front of the Hall and an additional 4 spaces on the drive with street parking usually available.
– Insurance?
– The Chorleywood Village Halls Trust holds public liability insurance for the premises however we recommend that you obtain insurance for your own event/activity
– Is there baby changing facilities?
Yes, baby changing facilities are available at each Hall.
– Can I use the stage for Free?
Yes on request but for health and Safety reasons our caretaker will not be permitted to move the steps to the stage.

We are equidistant from Junctions 17/18 of the M25.
The Metropolitan and Chiltern line trains stop at Chorleywood – the War memorial Hall and Common Room are a 5 minute walk from the tube station. The Bullsland Hall is a 30 minute walk. There is a Taxi office next door to the tube station
